Bill Shaver

Bill Shaver provides technical insight to Evolve and its mining sector clients. Bill is a seasoned senior mining executive with over 50 years of experience in all facets of mine design, construction and operations. He has worked both as a leader in mining companies and as a contractor to the sector. His mining experience includes copper, gold, zinc, iron, silver and potash. Bill has worked on six continents as well as most provinces in Canada and many of the mining jurisdictions in the United States.
Early in his career he spent ten years working on Arctic projects at Asbestos Hill, Raglan, Nanisivik and the Black Angel Mine in Greenland. In 1980 he was one of the founders of Dynatec Corporation which became one of the leading contracting and mine operating groups in North America. More recently, he served as COO of INV Metals before its sale to Dundee Precious Metals. He joined the McEwen Mining Board in 2021 and has been COO since May 2022. In 2013, Bill was recognized as the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year for his devotion to bringing innovation to the mining industry.
Bill is a Professional Engineer who graduated with a Bachelor ofScience in Mining Engineering from Queens University in Kingston aftercompleting the Technician Program at the Haileybury School of Mines.
